2d disney animations, stars of my comfort corner very merry unbirthdays <3

she's not selfish, she's just a 17-year-old girl who envies the things she couldn't have before, wants to experience new things with wonder, and wants to study somewhere away from her mother's negative opinions. there were times i tried to see things from her mother's perspective, but i couldn't manage it. it reminded me of my own, so i just felt uncomfortable and cried out of frustration. even if she wasn't at her best, i wish her mom could make her feel that way. i want to quote a tweet that explains a lot about this situation; "having a mother that doesn't like you as a person but loves you as a daughter is so hard like you just want her to like who are you not because she has to but because she wants to."

i'm really grateful that i'm no good at plot twists, watching backyard scene was phenomenal. movie has a great potential if we ignore jessica's whole existence.
