Not a bad little Hitchcock-esque effort. Day becomes a bit much pretty quickly but I like the way they set up some red herrings along the way. And when it got to the point where I thought, OK this is going to need some twist I don't see coming to really stick the landing, it delivered!

TO NY FUC KING SCOTT It's probably easy to forget this came out only a few years after some nutter ran onto a tennis court and stabbed Monica Seles in the back to help out Steffi Graf. So it might seem to get ridiculous at times here but its not that far out of the realistic ballpark by any means, pun intended. But besides the story, which all the oh so clever Letterboxd users managed to notice is similar to other movies - well done guys, so perceptive of you - no the real draw here is a director like Tony Scott firing on more cylinders you thought were even physically possible. When he's in charge, everyone on the whole production puts their full ass into it. DeNiro and Snipes will both phone in a performance if you let em, but they're at there best. Support cast all shine, especially that sex pest from Fraiser. What the fuck was he on here!? The shots are orange the edits are style plus and the soundtrack is pumping and at times hilariously inappropriate. Bring Tony back from the dead. I'm starting the petition.

So most of this feels like a made for TV movie from the 90s with Duhamel randomly in it for some reason. Which is fine... But how the fuck is no one talking about that ending. At the very last second I realised what was about to happened and I was just dumb founded. I mean... what the fuck!? Is this just a common trope in these movies? It was so weird and also was like... why? And what did this change about the movie even? Also WHY?! Insane stuff.

Aaaaannnnnd just like that.... the magic is gone.
