Lady Bird

This film made my heart ache. The mother trying her best but being a human with faults. The teenager trying her best but being so cruel to her mother without thinking. So much beauty in appreciating what you have and releasing our parents from the pedestals we place them on to be perfect. About connecting with our roots when all we ever dreamed of was leaving them behind. I can’t think about the final scene without welling up. Greta Gerwig made me cry again.
