Absurd science fiction plot, curious accents and inconsistent performances from some of the most well respected actors in Hollywood history.  And baby Hitler clones.

My first ever watch of a peplum or sword-and-sandal film and wow. It is fantastic from the evident low budget, the awful English dubbing, the body builders (Reg Park) acting as mythological heroes. All very camp. As a stand alone, the blend of gothic and confused Greek/Roman mythological imagery is wonderful and Bava made it a very fun, enjoyable experience. I particularly liked the Night of the Living Dead-esque show down. Also Christopher Lee and his terrible hair gave an excellent performance as did his dubbing. I will definitely be watching more.
