REVOLUTIONARY. What was once radical is now something every great in this industry takes influence from. Such a genius film in every aspect. From the incredible way of telling the story through the camera movements, blocking and deep focus. The storytelling is also done in such a unique way. Like we already know everything about his life after the first 15 minutes. But this film isn’t necessarily about what happens, it’s about why it happens. Why does Kane go from an idealist who stands up for the people who are looked down upon, to a grumpy and gloomy old fart. The film never shoves any narrative in your face, it’s up to us watching to think why everything happens and what we think of kane. We’re almsot like the journalist who through different perspectives try to puzzle togheter this complex character and his final words.
