Nightcrawler

Lou is so smartly written, everything he does is so meticulously planned combined with his improvisational thinking makes him an incredibly daunting and disturbing character, especially with the final act of the film with how he withholds the home invaders identity as he knows it can be used in the future to further his goals. His complete lack of empathy, his ability to pick at each other characters weaknesses exactly when he needs to. Just impeccable writing. Beautifully shot, colouring is next level. The result of a carefully planned film where the filmmakers knew exactly what they were doing and exactly what they wanted with actors who were passionate about their roles.
