I had the absolute privilege of seeing this with a very close friend of mine on the big screen in Paris. This just reaffirmed that Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me will remain my absolute favourite film for a very long time. Such a crushing experience. First half just feels like a never ending surreal dream. Ending with the ominous disappearance of Agent Desmond, and transitioning to the last 72 hours of Laura Palmer. God. Fucking horrifying all the way…

Such a brilliant and beautiful film. Very a strong message by Miyazaki towards American exceptionalism and Italian fascism. In addition just incredible animation and pristine soundtrack. Porco Rosso is probably Miyazaki’s best character ever and the world needs more men like him. Very underrated in Miyazaki’s filmography.
