after remi died, there was no pause inbetween scenes. it made leo’s life seem very chaotic. i think this showed how leo’s brain was not pausing either. he was just constantly thinking about remi and their friendship. but once he got those words off of his chest, “i pushed him away,” there was a pause. the relief that came with knowing that someone heard him say those words and they still chose to love him. that pause was leo’s brain telling him that he could finally rest.
