Get Out
WHY DID I NOT WATCH THIS BEFORE??
I love this sm omg??
Where do i start..
The whole premise is just genius? I was soo invested in it. I LOVED the plot twist. Like how can someone even think of that. It's just so original. I loved it.
The acting was FENOMENAL. Espacially Daniel's, like you could see the emotions in his EYES. Espacially in the scene where he was hypnotized, the way he was looking at us while crying was just done in such a good way. I genuinely was stressing for Chris. Also how can we not talk about Allison's performance. ESPECIALLY THE PART where she talks with Rod on the phone, dude her face and voice was just so unsettling. Her face just staying still but her voice had so much emotion. It did creep me out. The switch she had on her character was so good I love it sm omg.
I also genuinely love Rod. Like he was the best character right? He really worked to find his friend and in the end HE DID. I was soo happy, like genuinely he was my fav.
I also loved this new approach to show racism. In most of the media it's so explicit, which isn't a bad thing, but it always shows the same form of racism when in reality it's so much more. I adored the way they showed it. Espacially at the ending where Rod came to save Chris with his police car and Chris just put his hands up EVEN THO HE WAS THE VICTIM. it might seem a small detail but it just shows so much more omg.
Either way this movie is full of symbolism with the deer that represent the black people. There are so much subtleties that it amazes me. I definitely need to watch it again to catch more of these details.
There was also a lot of foreshadowing like when the dad says "There are black mole there" which was actually where they were keeping the black people they abduct. Everything make sense. I genuinely love this movie sm omg.
We need more masterpiece like this ngl. I will 100% rewatch it
