Dogville

This movie truly exceeds everything that you begin to expect in the first 5 minutes. The slow uncomfortable burn of the movie as the town people’s faults become more apparent and her suffering is magnified. It all comes together in what can only be described as the most euphoric close to a movie I have ever seen.  This movie manages to make having no walls feel more of an enclosed environment. The constant subversions of expectations are awesome and it fits in with the small town stuck in there ways thing which I love from Shirley Jackson and other pieces of media. Brilliant movie.
