this movie is so grand and beautiful and i absolutely adore it. i’m so happy to see that mary shelley’s message hasn’t been completely lost in translation. we’ve seen how frankensteins monster has just become a big scary monster when the message of the story is so much greater than that. it absolutely floors me that shelley was 18 when she began writing Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. To have that kind of understanding of the world you live in at that age and at that time period is so crazy to me. just more proof that we are no smarter than our ancestors, we simply have more accessible resources.
