Pusher
Nicolas Winding Refn's movies are so incredibly raw. After having recently watched Bleeder, I decided to try some of his other works (which also happened to include Mads Mikkelsen in the cast. Love that guy). The story is very enjoyable with lots of twists and turns, but the most noteworthy thing about this film is that it is, like his other work Bleeder, very uniquely edited and filmed, in a way that you can really immerse yourself in the film, as if you're actually standing in that room. What's different about Pusher though, is that it also feels as if you're alongside the main characters also high on coke and whatever other substances they're on. At least to me it felt that way. As I said, this is a very raw film, and the editing mostly takes credit for that. Overall a great film, and I definitely recommend it if you're into some more niche crime films with neo-noir elements.
