Wicked

Well, I'm not well liked for some of my opinions on this film. Starting with the obvious, Ari was excellent casting, as was Jeff Goldblum actually (he really brought an epic amount of interesting aspects to a really bloody dull character and song). The budget was apparent at all points and there were so many things I loved about this film. In terms of acting, I love Cynthia in this too, especially when it came to deepening an already loved character. However, the singing style in moments of this film, especially in defying gravity, frankly was off-putting and took me out of the world somewhat. the direction was good but didn't have many noticeably interesting moments either, EXCEPT dancing through life of which I have exactly 0 notes. Overall, a film I am unnecessarily harsh on but frankly people pretend it's perfect and it isn't quite.
