Charade
The most unpredictable film ever. I loved charade because it so beautiful well executed and if this film was made today by any other director even Christopher Nolan this would be a bad film but this director has such a wild story for this film and I can’t see any other director doing as remotely close as good as this was. One thing this film does that is better than any film released today is that the action is slow paced and I’m not saying that fast paced action is bad but im getting tired of it so even though I have seen action scenes similar to this it feels so different because of the pacing. This film has one of the most suspenseful sequences ever and if you have seen the film you know what sequences I’m talking about. The chemistry between the two main characters is so amazing and they are the main driving force of this film and im usually not the biggest fan of that but in this film they nail it. This film sounds so empty but in a good way because there is moments where if they had put a score that was really good it probably would have made the scene worse because the score is almost silent and it helps with the atmosphere of this film lots and I really wish I had a better copy of this film because I only own the old version of the criterion collection dvd. My final thought is that I’m definitely gonna have to watch the rest of Stanley Donen films.
