Are there really any words I can use other than “perfect”? It’s just an objective truth that Infinity War is the best Avengers film, and only gets better with rewatches. From when I first saw this film when I was younger and bawled my eyes out to pretty much death, to now where I know everything that happens like the back of my hand, Infinity War is just an insane rollercoaster of everything great about the MCU, I’d argue it’s more of a proper send off to every aspect of the Infinity Saga than Endgame, but we’ll get there when we get there. Kind of poetic that the best part of the best Avengers film are the GOTG, just like it is for the MCU as a whole

Black Panther is undeniably one of the biggest outliers in the MCU, its tone is just drastically different than everything that has come before, but that doesn’t make it a bad movie. While I feel this movie fails to be a believable MCU movie, or even superhero movie, it’s hard to look past the fact this is just a well made piece of cinema. My main gripe with this film is that it’s a bit of a tone breaker for the MCU in a binge, to go from something as hype generating as Ragnarok and have to sit through a movie about something completely unrelated, albeit a good movie about something completely unrelated, makes the path to Infinity War feel like it’s being delayed for no good reason, especially since Black Panther is not needed to understand that one. A good movie, but not a very good MCU movie

It’s been at least half a decade since I’ve last watched this one, and fuck, it holds up so incredibly well. I’m actually at a loss for words, I have no clue why I never rewatch this movie but it might genuinely be my favorite MCU movie now, everyone shines, especially Grandmaster, and it makes excellent use of every cast member. What an impeccable film, I guess I have a new favorite (“new” in big quotations because this is like my 4th rewatch of this one, albeit in a long time)

This is a bit of an outlier in the MCU as it’s half your typical superhero junk and half teen coming of age story. It’s not a bad combination but the other Spider Man films balance the two a bit better imo. The jokes aren’t all that great, but I’ve seen this film an insane amount of times since 2017, I practically know it like the back of my hand. Holland is a good Spider Man, they give him an adequate introduction here with some interesting storytelling, good film all around
