Night Tide
So alluring in terms of setting, horror and romance, framed within a tale of loss, mystery and control. Pensive shots, looking over the ocean from a boardwalk railing, sleeping on a Summer afternoon, are interspersed with moments of terror, waking up in a sweat, strangled by responsibility and love. Undercurrents of queer commentary, personality and individuality complement the departing sense of imcompletion at the conclusion. Questions remain unanswered and one's mind can only ruminate on the guilt that our protagonist must feel. A work which completely whisked me away in its atmosphere with its plot and aestheticism.
