The Broken Mirror

Stunning film and a very real, haunting depiction of the indominatable want for escape amidst enclosure and fear. In many ways a film of two halves, the first slow but extremely effective in its exposition, subtle and minimalistic. The second sees this abstracted and dissolved into surrealist fantasy, to be restored, hidden and to become illusory and secretive. Highly recommended for fans of Rollin, Malpertuis and Symptoms.
