Drive

I had to watch this again, and it hit the exact same it did the first time since it’s been almost two years since I first watched it.  This film has one of the best soundtracks ever, when I first heard Nightcall in that opening scene it just hit me. It just now hit me that Carey Mullugan who plays Irene in this also plays Daisy in The Great Gatsby, I knew I recognised her more this time around. She’s phenomenal anyway, in both films.  I genuinely can’t think of anything to say, it’s one of those movies where when the credits end you just stare into space. I desperately wanted the Driver to be there for Irene in that final scene, Ryan Gosling genuinely can’t catch a break in his films. I have no critiques for this film, I liked everything.  9/10
