tbh the most thing I like abt this film that it's criticizing the u.s military and u.s.a in general rather than picture them as heros (it's not famous cuz of that- it has been released a short time after 9/11 so any criticism of u.s.a was unacceptable) Most of the characters aren't real soldiers most of them are prisoners has been offered to serve military instead so they aren't supposed to be in this place they should be in jail or some rehab rather than this place where they drown even more the propaganda abt the u.s military and how they picture them as heros to these young men and when they actually in- the awful truth releaved, racism, agony, poverty, stealing, balck market, etc That's making a character like knoll - who's enterd the militarily following his father's path and what he pictured this place would be like- lots of friends and honor, to be shocked by the truth , being an innocent easy target first and then developed to be a mf js like the rest of them - it's like a loop Also Lee's character is good it's representing a sadatic jerk person who's daughter reflect his conscience that he's afraid of, the ending when he left her and admitted freely of his true awfull nature was great, also he sees her as his last venerable connection to humanity, to not be completely alone, and seeing her prefer Elwood over him scares him so much that he hurts Elwood in any possible way even if it included hurting other innocent people like knoll to get what he wants (that made him also hurt other- the loop again) The ending of the film is soooo great and it reflect the propaganda of picture all soldiers as heros even if they were criminals-same propaganda that Nazis used as well, two faces of the same coin I like Elwood's relationship with Robyn- how it started to js piss her dad off (hurt loop again) and then it developed as he sees her clean, actually care abt him without wanting a thing in return so he relate to her even tho it caused him troubles-a big ones Also there are a lot of sences that reflects (in a perfect way) the idea of hurting yourself to prove to someone who hurt u that u didn't hurt, or hurting other people cuz u were hurt- or using your powers over someone weaker than u cuz someone more powerful than u used his power over u and so on I liked Berman's character soooo much - it's representing someone who's time already passed trying to hold into his old version while all those who around him don't belive in him-his wife also was good, representing someone genuinely trying whatever they could to help someone they love in their own way but it's already a done case so they js drown together even more and hurt each other , the ending is also great and how he accept his new self The trio -Elwood,Garcia and stoney- kinda reminds me of "la haine" trio, three young friends with different personalities being surrounded by this fucked up environment til they reach their inevitable ending - completing the cycle of war "In peace the warlike man attacks himself." "You see, life for me is about distractions. I try to keep looking up and forget about what's down. But when I dream... I fall" Elwood admitting that all those dirty things he does is js a distraction of facing his own fears which representing as fall-that saved his life when he overcomed n the ending "War is hell. But peace is fucking boring." representing what bordiem can leads a human to In the end of the review I don't have to say that phoenix's acting ( my fav actor ever) was great in fact the acting in general was good , and this film is full of plots UNDERRATED ASF

A classic light comedy film I see that the most funny thing abt this film has to be the "technically" enforce of the jokes as a punchline Also the film is 1h20mins and there's a joke in every min so if there's a joke u didn't like it won't last much and there's more opportunities for funny jokes, this rush theme making the film light to watch but the maryaid amount of jokes has a bad side ,it increases the amount of mid and bad jokes also making these weird sences when u don't know what's the joke or even if there's one they're js talking weirdly. The whole film didn't made me laugh hardly (and I tell u i'm such an ez person to make him laugh) I mean there's that kind of permanent smile but it never turned into a messy hard laughing Also striker's character could have taken js a lil bit more seriously especially abt his truma it could made the film value more for me and made it last more in minds after watching at least for me cuz I don't see it as the funniest film ever (btw ig it's smth abt me,I hadn't seen a FUNNY film. I mean there's a youtuber called Ahmed sharef i used to dead-lauging on his veds ,he made a film, which i also have the same problem with and I see that it's veds way more funny and even valuable for me he was taking some society problems and making fun of it in an amazing way of sarcastic critsim,he doesn't do that nowadays, such a lose tbh) I'm here after a min ,I remembered some silly jokes in the film and i gotta say that after all this film is such an amazing light comedy

Holy shi this film is WAY BETTER than the first part it's so good almost every line or sence is a reflection and that they reflect on a serial killer and a desperate artist to make a special episode even if it crosses her red flags with the vlogging-shot and the acting making the whole film very interesting and ez to watch especially with it's short length making it feels like actual YouTube vlog It shows us in Aron the mid-live issues like losing interest issues, the things he used to do for fun ,things that used to make him feel better, feel alive started to become more like a routine,a job he js skip all the parts that used to entertain the most (reflect the idea that u enjoy journey of suffering more than when u reach what u were suffering for ,this could be taken positive like in little miss sunshine movie, or negative as Dostoevsky described in "messages from underground" novel that we're sorta physcos,or in my opinion the right way to take it is js accept the idea itself in a gray way) and go to the goal ,watching him actually being weaker, losing his instinct, til he decides to embrace it and doing smth different from what he usually do and we see him struggling with himself abt this decision, weighted by his traumatized childhood, loneliness(the fact that he didn't sleep with any women in the age of 40 is a shouting sign for that, and i like how the actor actually acts like that, the sence when they get nacked the line aron said "when it'sa male and a male in dressing room it's normal, when it's a female and a female is normal, but when a male and a female it gets weird cuz off the wall between them which is curious, what they have?" It was smth like that and it could be taken as criticism for society and government who grows that wall til they had to go to these twisted ways like getting nacked in the film,it also might be taken in general as a reflectionf for societyies that see the difference not as a normal thing but as a wall and every society crul into themselves and their ideas which mostly they inherited them without thinking abt the right thing or in geay js in balck and white and the always seeing themselves as white which makes unimmuture ,racist and child-like societies and also critsim for governments who grow all that til the wall is too much and they had to pass it by twisted way like wars etc),isolation, the feel of not being belong anywhere (that gives a sense why he's killing people cuz he feel like he get a thing from anyone he killed making him feel belong to them-to what they belong and the way of introducing tha is perfect in the film and he begins to feel sad cuz he started to not feeling a thing when he kills someone) his un-medicated mental illness (which led us to dillemas :is the murder supposed to take all the blame ? Are the evils are evils by nature waiting for the right time to expose their evilness or they are had to be evils?) In the top of them is closing up and let everything buring him, burning him inside and curling to himself and anyone try to help will get hurt(All of that represents the hedgehog's dillema ) and that's the most important part in this film they opening up to the first girl truly sees himself in (we will describe why is that later,or maybe it isn't,if he's js attached to the first girl who gives him the least part of attention and not being afraid of him, even though he knows that she probably doesn't do that for him it's for her episode so she's using him or maybe cuz she feels lost too or maybe it's both and it's both there isn't balck and white in this film which makes it even better film) he starts to being honest and showing what he really are ,which was opposites by a rejection, a rejection of who he really are ,we'll see him apologizing and trying to convince her it's not me I was jk and that shit and also we'll see him trying to change her to fit him (which is worked-sometimes, which brings us again to evil dilemma cuz there's an opportunity that she will be a serial killer too) all that as a reaction to thr feeling that grows even bigger inside him -no being belong, not being seen, not being accepted- in his twisted way It shown in Sara the "loser" who tries and tries to make smth but always had those moral limits that keeps their work from success, seeing her with a serial killer and how she crosses her red flags how she was in the begging super worried and unsure abt it and how slowly she begins to convince herself in lies (or maybe they're not actually lies i me if someone told u he's a serial killer probably u won't believe him but he confirms more and more that he is and that leads us to a dilemma: all the victims of aron's knew there was smth wrong,he was sort of dangerous but thought they continued as if they wanted to die so is all the blame should be only on aron?) And slowly really being like him in a way and sort of worse? I mean she lies but she says I'm not lying but he says I am playing with the truth but without lying which either he's not a liar so he has more moral than her (which it's complicated according to how u see moral especially he's literally a serial killer) or he's a liar who lies abt being moral liar which makes him even worse. We'll see the relationship between these two desperate (each of them is desperate in his way) souls I was kinda afraid that the movie is a try to copy the success of the first part but.this film gives me what the first part was absent of which is a real story also give MORE reflections with less time and better acting (btw aron's dick releasing is the most unexpected plot of all time lmao)

One of the best single place movie and also one-shot movie , btw it's the first film ever with this one shot thing and it's suit the film with it's 1h20min long it really made me feel like I'm with them in the party , it's theme (single place filled with characters in an occasion or smth with suppressed problems between that begins to blow out) is similar to films like carnage but this film is peculiar cuz there's a hidden secret that we know from the start and we see the suspicion of some characters, detectiving from other and also other who try to hide the truth that made a permanent tense and it reflect more than js society it reflect dillemas and I'm very interested in the main dilemma and I didn't get smth that reflect it but this film had reflect it which is the moral dilemma abt philosophys which includes thoughs and ideas that ghettoise the human being life's and souls, if it is the difference between who has smth inside him that stopping him from doing them and who has smth inside him making him do it or if it is abt who truly believe in them fr and who js show off (this part is very interesting for me cuz i think that most of people who have philosophys don't really believe in them and having the teacher himself falling in that fallacy is ironic cuz it shows a possibility that a lot of books, philosophys, theories etc that we read the writer himself doesn't really believe them or maybe it's the courge or the thing inside that makes the the difference (and seeing a lot of people deeply believe in it and defend it blindly is crazy ref )and that's the best way to reflec a dilemma by showing it without taking a side and let the viewer decide or js think without taking a side cuz i believe in gray and i tkink the balck and white people can't ever see the full true pic and the opend end without knowing what will happen to characters help in this). The idea of having 4 who were students of this anti-humanic philosophy and their teacher in the same party after years and see how each of them dealing with it is so fantastic I have a problem with the acting sometimes it felt sorta corny and overacting in a way that makes it feel cold idk how or if I'm js being stupid but that's how I felt and I feel like it's a thing with all these old films And btw this film is my second film of Alfred Hitchcock after physco and ik they're completely different genres but I see this film way better
