my first biopic, it feels natural that it’d be the one of my childhood hero. a magical celebration of his music, talent and influence. brought me a lot of joy watching that and there wasn’t a moment I was bored. naturally, events had to be cut for runtime, and some moments read more cartoonish or pantomime. however I think it was well executed and I’m intrigued by the promise of a sequel. bonus points for the brief rat appearance, we love seeing furry friends on the screen 💖
