Blade Runner 2049

One of my fav sci-fi’s of all time. One of my favorite modern directors of all time. An amazing movie that covers many themes, especially to do with our social and economical environment. Showcases the advancements of technology and how they can be used, especially in a cyberpunk dystopian future where tech is used to advertise corporations to the absolute maximum. It’s somewhat like an episode from Black Mirror called fifteen million merits. It’s about advertisements being exploited which they already are. This film showcases this along with loneliness and how it can affect someone. The cinematography in it is insane and genuinely top tier along with the visuals in general (cgi, framing, color grading, etc.) The characters fit the setting nicely and the dialogue is novel-like.
