Get Out
Good movie ! I thought it was well done
The metaphor of deer representing black people/people of color in get out is *insanely* well done so I’m gonna just focus on that in this review.
racists will say things (regarding poc) on how they are “taking resources”, “causing trouble”, etc. or treat them as if they are a nuisance. And the EXACT same is (quite literally) said in the movie regarding the deer-
deer heads being used as trophies in households to flaunt the persons hunting and show a “perfect catch” & how black people in this movie are used.
Not to mention how our main character sees the families “good catches” and then sees a deer head later hung in front of him after he becomes the “catch”.
