Hamnet
hamnet was so brave😭💔🥀
this movie absolutely broke me. it's a film about grief, but instead of focusing on william shakespeare as this legendary figure, it focuses on his family and how each of them deals with loss in their own way.
agnes faces her grief head on without trying to run from the pain, while william keeps everything bottled up at first, only to eventually pour all that sorrow into hamlet.
ngl, the pacing is slow af, but if u just let the story unfold on its own, it's honestly hard not to feel everything agnes and william are going through💔
btw, i think the message this movie is trying to say is that there's no right or wrong way to grieve. everyone copes differently, and grief doesn't always have to look like crying or emotional breakdowns.
so if someone doesn't look sad after losing, pls don't be so quick to judge or call them heartless. they might just be grieving in silence... or expressing that pain in a different way.
