Possession
rest in peace sam neill💔🥀
watched this for sam neill❤️🩹, i grew up watching him in jurassic park, and years later i saw him again as inspector campbell in peaky blinders. anyway, thank you sam neill for all the incredible performances, your work will live forever in cinema🪽
at first i thought this was just gonna be a divorce drama, but then it kept getting weirder and more absurd. this movie follows dream logic instead of real world logic, so don't even try to make sense everything. just go with the flow.
to me, it's really about a relationship falling apart, losing yourself, obsession, possessiveness ofc, and the fear of losing someone. everything is pushed to the absolute hyperbolic way, almost every scene feels packed with symbolism that can be interpreted in many different ways.
also, i heard possession is getting a remake starring isimostar. after seeing how incredible isabelle adjani was as anna, hopefully she can pull it off too... especially since isimostar is literally my wife fr🥰🗣️
