*LOVE LOVE LOVE* Halle Bailey & Regé-Jean Page are so good in this. Formulaic? Duh, it’s a rom-com. BUT it is not overly cheesy and highlights the best parts about romantic comedies.  Great soundtrack and funny ensemble cast. I had a really great time and will definitely rewatch this in the future when I’m in my rom-com mood. I don’t wanna typecast anyone but if Halle made rom-coms for most of her career, I wouldn’t complain. 7.5 out of 10!

I certainly wanna revisit this film because I can’t quite make up my mind about it. I mean I know I enjoyed it but I was certainly put off by it. I appreciate films that tackle difficult subject matter in a different way. This film has definitely generated a lot of good conversation online and in my personal life. What I know for sure is that Zendaya & Robert Pattinson are magnificent. I thought they were both phenomenal, particularly Zendaya as she continues to play so many different roles and is so damn good at it every time!  The needle drops were great and I’m a huge fan of the editing here. Despite the material, there is some good humor as well. It was really weird to be laughing at certain moments but I really couldn’t help it! Anyway, definitely worth the watch but certainly not for everybody. Oh, and **FUCK RACHEL!** 7.5 out of 10

I actually quite enjoyed the first movie so I’m a bit disappointed. This… ain’t it. It’s just all over the place and moves wayyy to quickly with so much going on. The animation is fire though which is a big part of it. Shoutout Illumination because they have killed both of these adaptions (visually). 5 out of 10
