People who say this movie is about hating men or putting women above men either didn’t really get it or haven’t actually seen it. It’s about how women are often treated as less than in the real world. But the message isn’t that women are superior, it’s that we’re equal and both matter. Barbie doesn’t just exist to look good and Ken doesn’t just exist to stand next to her. They’re both allowed to be their own people, deserving of happiness, purpose, and love.
