ok love. pulled every one of my heart strings. just put like half of this directors movies on my watchlist. perfect perfect perfect. an roadtrip style movie and a monologue about the beauty of mundane life. wow. i ate that right tf up. each of the people Mr. Badii meets progressively gets older and i saw the way age changes people’s outlook on life. like how the young soldier was the most stubborn. the student was very conflicted. the old guy was the biggest advocate for him to stay alive but he doesn’t fight Mr. Badii on his decision . also there are so many metaphors about “turning to dust” when we die and Mr. Badii is just driving through all that dust. also like how Mr. Bagheri kinda just shows up in his car like out of nowhere. #metaphor. wisdom comes to you when you least expect it.
