EMOTIONAL FUCKING ROLLERCOASTER. FUCK JINMU BRO.  no ML saving FL bullshit, characters were all dynamic, the costumes combined modern day formalness and traditional style, every single character were so well styled and dressed, acting was SO GOOD, iu's subtle changes in facial expressions, the cold facade with her eyes showing warmth, byeon wooseok looks SO in love with huiju, and portrayed the trapped prince so well he grew SO MUCH since i watched him in record of youth, lee yeon and yoo soobin both portrayed the secretaries really well and with so much depth, noh sanghyun performance was very consistent and everyone hated the character because of how real he portrayed him, kim eunoh really captured iyun's tragedy of being a king as a child, suppressing his own emotions, giving up being a child, you poor child... and of course, gong seungyeon, holy shit she did so well, she made everyone love her even though she's the villain, her elegance and the air she holds really makes her a queen, she was able to look SO IN LOVE WITH IAN like oh my god, her jealousy, obsession, etc, DAMN.   huiju, ian all grew so much since the start, their veil dropped as they warmed up to each other. ian went from a loser to a loser in love, he grew stronger and actually fought for himself. the final move? i don't know if it like it that much, but it's very in character. heeju went from only caring about herself to caring about ian as well, but she is still strong and independent. her relationship with her family also matured.  i think the main leads were really really well portrayed and written, but the supporting cast and the opposition leads, were so WELL written and the cast acted with so much depth, it elevated the whole show. the show did a good job in making us empathise with a lot of the opposition and supporting characters that the audience would've disliked in the first third of the show.  my only complaint is that one of the villain's motive was not strong enough. they seem too adamant for someone who's motive was this weak. like why...? you had so much time... why now 😭😭 like bro, that was not a reason, and you said "i told you so many times" yeah bro, but no one thought you'd go to that length like wtf..??? "this is all your fault" babes... no... you're the one who did all these like... what the hell- now you're just delulu...  also, there's so many frickin plot holes it's so annoying... wish it's a 13-14 episode series so there's a better ending...? or like at least there would be less plot holes... also... no chemistry... wan and irang has more chemistry than hj...  ep. 1-10: 4.5 ep. 11: 3.5 ep. 12: 4 (side note: wan and irang has more chemistry somehow...)
