I'm Still Here
Such a gut wrenching story that perfectly captures the spirit of the Brazilian people during the early 70s dictatorial regime as seen through the eyes of the Paiva family. The first half an hour was just the portrayal of a happy and unified family that makes the rest of the film even more emotionally wrenching.
Fernanda Torres, what a performance. The shaky cam made the film raw and captivating. The cinematography was superb and the choice of music (though international) just captured my attention at the right time. Great film. 10/10. Highly recommend
