The Red Spectacles

I was so caught off guard when this movie took the turn it did, but in the end, I believe it was for the best. This movie is an EXTREMELY well directed thought-piece, the likes of which I’ve never seen. A fascist, now despised ex-cop returns to the city he’s actively wanted in and for rest of the movie, serves as an unreliable narrator. It takes these action movie tropes, spins them on their head and shows us the surreal, egocentric fantasies of a dying man. Amazing.
