One of Fincher’s best. A film that over time uses itself to build the viewer’s hopes up, and shoot them down. The ending is not satisfying, it does have an idea yes, but in the end you’re left with more questions than answers. It’s meant to make you feel like the many people this case, almost paranormally, burnt and scarred.
