“Here sat two lovers in silence, and it was beautiful”
a gripping bizarre phantasmagoric romantic gothic fairytale that echoes with the likeness of bergman, tarr and eggers with hints of tarkovsky featuring werewolves, witches and the devil draped in beautifully captured heavily contrasted & overexposed gorgeously done black and whites in tandem with the estonian overcast gloom during a particularly bleak period in its history where two young characters try to find love despite the despair that plagues them
i am the crumbling sand. before dawn, i will have left your hand. don’t try to understand it. i am a primordial being. shining divinely, in all its forms and feelings. i am an echo of an angel, i am the true love. wherever you need me i am in your heart, my dove.
