Is this actually the first enjoyable Hellraiser movie??? I can’t understand how this movie has only a 2.4 rating when it’s actually consistent and very well made. Maybe it’s not a “good” Hellraiser movie for fans, but it’s an amazing detective film

I love how Hideaki Anno never gave up on his criket sound effects😭 Nah tbfr this movie was truly amazing, it shows the parallel between the sexual desire of japanese men towards young hs girls and the desire you can feel when you want something you can't have, Hiromi knows that if she waits for the next day she will no longer have the desire to have it because every desire is ephemeral so she does everything to have it as quickly as possible. She uses men desires to serve her own desire and it end up pretty bad for her. I love how you can clearly catch a lot of similarities between Evangelion and Love & Pop, like those white sentences written on a black background or theses classical music that Hideaki loves so much.
