removed a 1/2 star from an ethical/woke perspective solely because most american movies that focus on other cultures tend to demonize them, and this felt a tad bit like that. viewing from another light, HOLY SHIT! alluring, grotesque, fucking crazy!! the acting is completely on point (kudos to florence pugh and ALL the background characters/extras that managed to deliver the best synchronized perfomance ever), the cinematography is crazy, the added sounds/music were creepy and and disturbing and indelible, the scene organization is PERFECT. beautiful, truly. probably would be added to my top four if it wasn't for my woke soul. if I could give this movie a vocabulary word it would be "orphic".
