Parasite

One of the sharpest, most entertaining allegories for class struggle and the massive gap between the rich and… well, everyone else. The title Parasite alone sets up an interesting question: on the surface, it seems to frame the poor family as the ones leeching off the wealthy. But the more you sit with it, the more that interpretation flips. When you look at how much the ultra-rich hoard, how comfortably they float above the problems they indirectly create, you can’t help but wonder: who’s actually parasitic here? Bong Joon-ho wraps all of this in a film that’s funny, tense, painfully honest, and wildly unpredictable. It’s the rare movie that entertains you while poking at something deeply uncomfortable, reminding you that inequality isn’t some abstract idea, it’s a system everyone is trapped inside, whether they realize it or not.
