I swear every time I watch a directors student film, it’s like 500x better than my own films.

I have mixed feelings towards Kids (1995). On one hand it’s an exploration of a culture. On the other hand it’s not fun to watch. It makes you uncomfortable. It also has some pacing issues which is probably from the unlikable characters. I’ve heard this film compared to dazed and confused or Mid 90s but at least I liked most of the characters in them. There is probably one character I liked in this (the blonde woman). I also hate movies that have unnecessary animal abuse. I already didn’t like the boys from the start. I didn’t need one of them to kick the cat. I think the vibe of this film is where it needs to be. I’ve told people and I may have mentioned it in one of these reviews before but one thing i like about film is the perspective. The ability to look into someone else’s eyes through art. This film makes me glad the way I was raised Also I don’t wanna sound corny but with today’s culture, it seems this film is still relevant to this very day. I’m gonna end this review with thanking my parents for not raising me to be like these fucks.

I be taking the food at parties too
