Chainsaw Man
This is a review for everything about chainsawman. not just the anime but also the manga.
I FUCKING LOVE Chainsawman. My personal problem with shonen animes is that they are really bland and predictiable in their characters and power systems. Take one piece for example. I felt like the female Characters were all underdeveloped and just used to give fans to goon to characters from the show. Chainsawman actually gives the female characters creative and unique backstorys. Usually when i consume media the most important thing to me is how well the characters are written and chainsawman really gives me the best of the genre here.
Funny, lots of depth... So peak!
The power system is hella intresting too. The devils strength being determined by how much humans are afraid of it... HOLY FUCKING PEAK. The Animation style (especially of the movie) is the greatest handdrawn shit ive ever seen btw. The fights in 3d in the cinema were just on like... another level. beautiful shi and a peak anime.
My only downside is the ending and SLIGHT SPOILER WARNING the amount of unresolved plotlines. I can kinda see why fujimoto did it, either to troll his audience or themes and such but come on. Maybe the anime adaptation of part 2 will make the ending better and make it more emotional similar to how The Reze Arc movie helped me understand that thing and rezes character more.
But overall it really it is peak fiction and pretty much the best thing out there in anime. I dont think its good as a starter one though since it kinda plays with the stereotypes of other shonen like one piece, bleach and naruto.
