Never kill yourself! HOLY CINEMA OR PEAK IDK HOW TO DESCRIBE IT

can’t believe that I got so disgusted by heated rivalry that it motivated to watch something much more productive that was atleast in my watchlist The pace at first was boring to sit through, but as the story progressed and began to present its themes, characters, and lore, I found myself wanting to know more about what was happening. The way it answers some questions yet leaves you with even more than you started. it’s exciting to watch how it builds up the tension to slowly prying open its lore/story. I also loved that we get to learn about everything with the characters they’re just as much in the dark as we are. I think it’s going to be one of those anime where rewatching will be amazing to help contextualize some of the hints that were set up in the beginning. Not to mention, the characters themselves have so much depth. Watching their inner monologues or simply seeing them interact with each other allows you to slowly understand who they are as people in a way that doesn’t outright tell you (atleast not until the very last episodes). It allows you to sit with what a specific moment means to that character. And even though this has probably been said before, the music and animation were literal eye candy to me. I loved the symbolism expressed through the angels, the Christian musical influences, to the machinery of the Evas. AND its philosophy/psychology themes are so thoughtful and relatable I love LOVE when media has a very normal front but the more it tells you the more it unravels it’s deeper meaning through visual or indirect cues. Truly one of a kind experience and I throughly loved watching this.
