Cathay Pacific Movie #2 As with all the other Wes Anderson movies I've seen, my gut rating is always 1-2 stars lower than my actual rating by the time the credits roll. I had to take a break from watching so I just reflected on all the complex ensemble of characters and their purposes in the plot. It took a hot second and a pre-plane-dinner nap but I think the whole thing is a rhetoric on life (and also life after grief/exceptional circumstances)...? Idk I have to do more research but I'm content with awarding this interpretation with 4.5 stars! Minus 0.5 stars because I don't fully understand Midge's purpose. Sorry ScarJo.
