Tangerines

As a fellow Georgian, this movie was absolutely gut wrenching to watch. “Tangerines” is exploration of the futility of war and capacity for human to consume a conflict and deal it with compassion and understanding. Ending awaked something in me. “what type of music do Georgians like?” Ahamed asked, while Nika was trying to fix an old cassette. After he passed away, The song “მე გადმოვცურავ ზღვას/i will swim the sea (i don’t know how to translate it properly lmaoo) starts playing on the cassette while, beautiful scenery of Abkhazian land and sea appears on screen.  (i cried btw)
