Saw X
Kept me on the edge of my seat, but started to drag as time went by. This movie was the least realistic. How could someone cut off their leg AND stick something into their bone? How could someone cut into their head in such a short amount of time? The SAW series has had my heart for years, so it's unfortunate that I have to write a review like this, but if Hudson Williams can be honest, I think I can too.
Characters who deserved justice did not get it, and characters who should have died didn't. I know that SAW has a reputation for killing innocent characters, but did we really need to let Cecilia walk free while Gabriella suffered a horrific fate?
The movie also lacked some sort of rawness that the others didn't. The color-grading was too intense, but I did love the thought-out cinematography, which is a staple characteristic of the SAW films.
I did love the final twist when the lights turned red. SAW twists are everything, and I'm glad that they kept up with it in this movie.
