JFK
I saw this 3.5 hour time on this movie and I didn’t know if I was ready, but they do such a great job in making this movie flow so nicely that it feels way shorter than that. I think I liked this movie so much Bc my dad always had this poster in his office and I never knew what it was. And I really like history. This is the second Oliver Stone movie that I am logging and I gotta say I really do like this guys style. I’m no expert but to me it feels like his movies really excel at the editing and story telling. The compilation of old historic footage that he uses throughout this movie is real footage from the 60’s (or at least a portion from the beginning).
For me Joe Pesci’s hair and makeup was pretty poorly done but I’m also pretty positive that was the point. Idk he looked like he was trying to audition for Archie in riverdale. And Ms. Susie Cox literally knew the most and was breaking it down for all the men and idk she had a good role. Kevin Bacon did amazing, even though he wasn’t all too important I think he was still a highlight in the movie. Of course Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee, Michael Rooker, and pesci also did phenomenal here. Really had a great cast 👍🏼. All of this however was led by Kevin Costner who portrays Jim Garrison so well (not that I know how Jim is like in real life or anything). Throughout the movie he dives deeper into the investigation and Costner perfectly gives us some beautiful acting. ESPECIALLY in his final monologue in the courtroom. This man gets a little emotion and starts to cry a lil.
