Room
This was intense. Idk how I go from anxious heart pounding to crying like a lil bitch in the matter of seconds but I did. lol man acted the hell out of this and did a great job along with Brie who won major points in my book like big big boy points in my books. But I gotta tip my hat to how well the writers supported the idea that this kid is clueless and oblivious to the real world. Like the made it so very evident to the point where I caught my self thinking about how that kids childhood was. I was thinking about how a lil kid is perceiving all that information all at once after literally growing up with this one way of how you live life engrained (ingrained?) in your min, and I would find myself needing to pause the movie to just think about it for a sec. They did a real good job on that.
One thing is the argument they had in the middle of the room half (where she is telling him about the outside) it would’ve been Real cool to see that argument with both actors on the screen at the same time. It just felt like the camera was switching from a bunch of different angles a little too often, which I guess adds tension, but it made me feel like they filmed those scenes separately. Idk prolly not a common complaint but personally it would’ve been cooler to see it with a couple broader shots and longer takes Bc it was a good argument. Personal complaint
