Swordfish
Swordfish just might be my favorite guilty pleasure movie of all time. It's essentially Hugh Jackman, the early 2000s super hacker who types fast and screams at computers vs John Travolta, the head of the hacker Illuminati. Halle Berry is also just there to be half-naked the whole time (yeah it's bad). This movie opens with one of the most unintentionally hilarious over the top monologues from Travolta and then it's all babes, computers, and explosions from there. It's really just one of the most stupidly fun bad movies I've ever seen. I didn't know if it would hold up the second time. I thought its cheesy magic might wear off and it would just be horrible but instead, it only got better. It's hard to pinpoint the most unbelievable scene of this film because there are so many. Swordfish is the beginning of the end of 90s cheese and its only goal was to go out with a bang. Travolta is the highlight of the film and steals every scene he's in and it was honestly more fun than his outing with Nick Cage in Face/Off but I'm sure many might disagree. It's, by all means, a terrible movie but I can't help enjoying it.
