Sister and dad seemed to enjoy it, which is good. I mean I feel like this is the sort of thing someone could hate if they’re fucked in the head. So like, there was a possibility. Ralph Fiennes eminates in this, he’s just radiant. I mean all characters are great, but M. Gustave.. love him. And sure hes the main character, but no Wes main character is as great imo. I like Benicio in Phoenician Scheme, but that movie is just a lot more grey than this, purposefully so I suppose, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth critiquing. Also that one shot of Saoirse still rocks

Jessie Buckley is great in this especially at the end. It is cool to see the Globe theatre like that and the audiences hands reaching out. She deserves the Oscar. Personally I didnt care all that much for the story itself, hate to say it. Didn’t really leave a mark on me. No umbilical cords :/ can you believe it. I’m joking, there are moments I enjoy and then others where I feel it drags. Towards the middle especially, even if it’s meant to be a big moment I just don’t feel much. I also feel like the end is fairly too long, we get it, it’s Hamlet. Anyways, I’ve been reading Shakespeare, shits pretty fun and challenging to read.

Watched with my mother. Said Gustav reminded her of her dad. I fucking adore that scene with Agnes and Nora near the end

Pretty sweet. Deserves cinematography nom and shouldve gotten costume too. The general look of it is great.
