Logan

After rewatching I can say that I was definitely wrong about this being overrated, in fact I’d even go as far to say greatest marvel movie if not superhero film and comic book adaptation aswell, my major gripe with that is that this mainly applies to the screenplay and not as much on the film as a complete work, the acting is amazing and the script is heartbreaking but James Mangolds direction is really adding basically nothing, for the vast majority of the film he’s just shooting it as it’s written with really no stylistic quality or visual storytelling, this is where I think James Gunns various films clearly outmatch Mangolds on every level, with that said I don’t think that’s enough to overwhelm just how amazing and heartbreaking this screenplay is.
