symphony of the night 17 🌀 somewhere between critically analysing all the movies down to the last minute or admiring the women in it. just ur average marxist-leninist, morally nihilistic, loser weird law student with a business & economics background. i like films, i’m a music nerd and i write a lot :B)) #alterntive #emo. my reviews are mostly where i brain-dump. i'm someone who has to find meaning and signs in everything so i do overanalyse. aside from this i hoard a generous amount of physical journal. desensitized to any sort of horror and gore due to years of unlimited internet access from a young age but i am working on that. i think ∴ i am. i have to admire julian's poetic mind for being able to mimic jim morrison so well. mac demarco as the devil is yet another poetic symbiote that one must unravel deeply drenched in alcohol and rainwater perhaps even mud if need be.

one of my favourite Haneke films! the movie is set shortly before the first world war and the rise of fascism at it's finest. the children whose early memories of childhood will be filled with suffering and sorrow will survive the war and grow up in Hitler's what seemed like an everlasting regime. it's one of those movies where you can't blink, or you might miss it all. the story mimics the telling of Kafka's 'The Village Schoolmaster' with he perfect socioeconomic balance of the priest, the school teacher, the baron, the steward, the farmer and the children, the story navigates through purity, innocence and how it's going to stripped away from them not too long after the ending credits.

"please let me escape, when will i be going home?" - Suha, Knife Play (2002) by Xiu Xiu to watch this movie one must learn to stomach the pain that consumes the world around one, one must learn to read between the gap of inhale and exhale and the shifting of eyes, one must not blink till the act is done. one of the finest films i have ever seen.
