The Queen's Gambit

So I’ve been a bit indisposed recently, what with school starting and working on club stuff. So I haven’t really had time to watch films recently, and I hate that, and I’m gonna fix it. But also, I’ve got some shows to catch up on, and this happened to be one of them. After I finished Better Call Saul, I just had the urge to watch some more long form stories, and I remembered how much everyone loves this one.  On the question of how the show actually is, it’s very good. The costuming, production design, makeup, and cinematography are all pretty top notch, with consistently great vibes and looks to move the story forward and keep with the themes. There were still a few moments that were shot more poorly and the writing wasn’t good as consistently as I might’ve wanted, but it was a great time nonetheless.  I don’t really feel like talking about it too much right now so I’ll leave it there, but I enjoyed myself plenty and loved having some good chess in a mainstream show.  Time to finish Atlanta next…
