Silence
Up there with Scorsese’s best. The run time seems pretty daunting at first but there was so much story to be told it flew by so quickly. Incredibly thought-provoking, beautiful and horrific at times. It’s jarring seeing some of the most mesmerizing landscape shots next to some of the worst atrocities committed. Liam Neeson had 20 mins of screen time but his character was so well utilized. Even for non-religious people this is a great exploration of the balance of being faithful and being human.
