I emplore you to give this a chance, or a second chance if you are like me and switched it off after an hour. Blade Runner 2049 is a deeply philosophical and beautifully tragic depiction of the human experience. From the perspective of an artificial being's struggle with his own identity, we are challenged to question what it really is to be human. A masterful take on our own collective experience in coming to terms with life and the journey of acceptance we all embark on. This film requires your acute attention for you to fully understand and experience properly. Allow yourself to be fully emersed. For me that was by watching it on my laptop in the pitch black and with my headphones on full blast so that Hans Zimmer could transport me to another dimension.
